A team effort that demonstrates the possibilities of Large Format Additive Manufacturing (LFAM) and Fused Granular Fabrication (FGF)
At CNC Bárcenas, we are proud to present a collaboration that brings together state-of-the-art design with cutting-edge materials and technology. Working with leading materials manufacturer Polymaker—with over a decade of expertise in material extrusion 3D printing—and our flagship client Studio Artefact, we have carried out a project that demonstrates the potential of LFAM and FGF with our Super Discovery 3D Printer Robot.
The angel wings were originally designed by Studio Artefact as part of one of their astonishing projects, with carefully considered aesthetics and functionality. They were 3D printed using one of our Super Discovery 3D Printers at their facility in Montreal, Canada.
Through a collaboration agreement with Studio Artefact, we created a copy of the wings using Polymaker’s PolyCore™ PETG-1000 material—an optically transparent material perfect for indoor applications such as luminaires, furniture, and decorative pieces—and our Super Discovery 3D Printer Robot, located in the R&D workshop at our production facility in Valdepeñas, Spain.
This collaboration reflects what we are most passionate about: creating technology that drives real innovation in the field of large-format 3D printing.
